Paul Hardcastle? Thats right I said it. He first caught my ear (like most others) On a 1983 compilation LP called Streetsounds Edition 4 & 'Daybreak'from Streetsounds Edition 11 From 1984 when he released 'Rain Forest'. From then on Paul became uber popular with numerous chart successes such as '19' but when I researched a little more I found out his 'signature' was on alot of other successful albums and side projects & pseudonyms such as 'First Light' & the later 'Kiss The Sky' This is the pseudonym/project that this particular post is about. The only albums I don't currently own are the Japanese releases (on Victor Records) but I think these two Cd's "Have it all" with the supersmooth vocal talent of Jaki Graham & Paul's ultra jazz funk fusion rhythms, these albums definitely send you on a journey in that they are eclectic but as always I'm drawn to the more soulful sounds (cos that's the kind of guy I am).
My Favourite Tracks From These Albums Are
Your Heart Got In The Way
Always Remember
It Must Be Love
Same Place Same Time
So Easy
Sorry
You Don't Have To Change
We Can Make It Happen
Kiss The Sky - Kiss The Sky (1992)
Kiss The Sky - Millennium Skyway (1994)
